First Post!

Hello everyone! So I originally made this blog to write about the progress of my new coming two year old Perch/qh filly. Knowing me I'll write about everything horse related that I do. So for those who don't know me.. let me introduce myself! My names Michele [as if you didnt know that] right now training/giving lessons is my career.. Ive been riding horses for 11 years, been owning horses for 6 years, and been training/teaching for the past 3. Right now I own two horses. Nova she is my nine year old Solid Paint Mare. Shes my main show horse. Original goal was to do eventing .. but due to some health changes she will be my dressage horse. I also own Jovie is my coming two year old perchron/qh cross filly. Im hoping she will be my eventing horse. I think thats all I have to say about myself. Jovie will be coming home May 4th. April 28th is her birthday, so I will be going down to where shes living right now to give her some love/treats. Right now I am also in the process of trying to choose a registered name for her. . . The ones that I've thought of so far are: Shade of Midnight Glory, Annies Joyful Spirit, and Immortal Attraction. If anyone has any other creative names.. post 'em! Nova is slowly coming back into work. Walk/Trot. I've looked up a bunch of exercises to get her stamina back to where it was.. she hasn't had to much time off..but I don't want to push her to hard and cause a colic episode. Right now I think the vets and I have come to the conclusion she has stomache ulcers. At first we thought she had the begining stages of EPSM. Which after two sets of blood tests her levels were back to normal but she was still losing muscle/weight.. then after a light ride she coliced really bad.. After over 900 in vet bills we think we're on out way to recovery. Sadly shes also losing quite a bit of vision in her right eye.. which is why she probably wont be doing much jumping. Shes still my #1. Hoping out first show of this year will be late June! Hopefully her and I do as well as we did last year! I think thats about it for tonight. :)
